All of the sudden....WIP04_b15072011 comes

Here it comes. Just the apk file (take dosbox.conf from some previous downloads). It brings:
  • fix for DroidDos occasional crashes on GFX mode switches (i.e. in Ishar 3 at startup, or in Contrast demo by Oxygene) - its a dirty fix, but works...
  • refactored UI, taken from DroidMac, with scrollable keyboard panels, easier GUI configuration (key sizes, etc.).
The next one (if it comes) will be probably WIP05 :).

  1. Hi there, I'm trying to run it on a Asus Transformer, and it's not even starting with the following exception:

    E/AndroidRuntime(23213): java.lang.RuntimeException: Unable to start activity ComponentInfo{org.tomaswoj.droiddos/org.tomaswoj.droiddos.DosBoxMain}: java.lang.NullPointerException
    E/AndroidRuntime(23213): at
    E/AndroidRuntime(23213): Caused by: java.lang.NullPointerException
    E/AndroidRuntime(23213): at org.tomaswoj.droiddos.DosBoxMain.onCreate(
    E/AndroidRuntime(23213): at

Can you by any chance upload your project to GitHub so people can contribute to it, since your don't seem to have time to handle both ports? Thanks for your effort =)

  2. The app works on Droid Incredible on the second run.
I have tried the Droiddos on the HTC Droid incredible, the app gives error when the screen orientation is changed from portrait to landscape.
After error I uninstall the app an reinstall and works again.

Menu Bar in the middle of screen covers the initial "C" prompt and FM option initially does not work unless "dir" command is issued. After the "dir" command then the upper screen moves up or down.

About Me

My photo

My adventure with computers started with 3D graphics design. I did that mostly as part of so called 'demoscene' activities, attending computer parties, submitting my works to various contests, etc.
Then I switched my gears to computer programming and completed MSc in compsci, doing the design works in parallel, and working in the marketing dept for one of the biggest B2B software houses in Poland at that time - ComArch SA.
When I graduated - i moved to Motorola Solutions Inc (then simply Motorola Inc) - where i work as System Architect on mission critical public safety radio communication infrastructure.
I still play however with various other things, prototyping stuff, playing with porting emulators to Android, experimenting, learning all the time. See some links below...
